Hells Angels remain largest biker club in North Rhine-Westphalia

New data from the North Rhine-Westphalia State Criminal Police Office (LKA) indicates that the Hells Angels remain the largest biker club in the region. As of the first half of 2026, the group has approximately 460 members distributed across 26 chapters.

In total, about 1,170 bikers are active across various clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia. Other notable groups include the Freeway Riders, with roughly 400 members in 35 chapters, and the Gremium MC, which counts 150 members in 10 chapters. The Bandidos, a rival group that was banned in its previous structure in 2021, currently has 130 members in 14 chapters.

The LKA figures were compiled prior to a recent large-scale raid in Duisburg, which resulted in the arrest of several leaders from the local Hells Angels chapter.
