Helmond police seize 20kg of illegal fireworks

Police in Helmond arrested a 19-year-old man on Friday evening on suspicion of trafficking heavy illegal fireworks. During the arrest, officers found mortar shells in his possession.

A subsequent search of the suspect's residence and a garage box uncovered approximately 20 kilograms of heavy illegal fireworks, some of which were stored in his bedroom. Explosives specialists were called to safely remove the materials.
