Actor Henry Cavill has confirmed on Instagram that he will continue as the lead in the upcoming live‑action Warhammer 40,000 television series. Horror writer‑director Mike Flanagan has been hired as writer, showrunner and director, and United Artists has joined the production team.

Amazon MGM Studios is also developing a separate animated series set in the same universe, focusing on the elite Space Marine Deathwatch chapter. The animated project is a spin‑off of the Secret Level anthology that aired on Prime Video in late 2024. It will be co‑created and directed by Dave Wilson together with screenwriter John Orloff, with executive producers Tim Miller, Natalie Viscuso, Roy Lee and Andy Smillie. The series is produced in partnership with Games Workshop, which granted Amazon global rights to the Warhammer 40,000 IP in 2022.
