Henry Cavill Leads Amazon Prime Video’s Warhammer 40,000 Live‑Action and Animated Series

Actor Henry Cavill has confirmed he will star as a lead character and serve as executive producer on Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming live‑action adaptation of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop franchise. The series is in early scripting, with acclaimed filmmaker Mike Flanagan attached as writer and showrunner.

In parallel, Amazon has approved an animated event series set in the same universe. The untitled series will spin out of Blur Studio’s Secret Level anthology, with director Dave Wilson and co‑creator John Orloff leading the project. Cavill will also executive‑produce the animated series alongside Roy Lee and Blur Studio chief Tim Miller. Both projects aim to expand the Warhammer 40,000 brand on streaming platforms, though no release dates have been announced.
