Henry Cavill to lead new ‘Highlander’ film reboot

A reboot of the fantasy film franchise ‘Highlander’ is currently in production. Henry Cavill has taken over the lead role of the immortal Scottish warrior Connor MacLeod, succeeding Christopher Lambert, who starred in the original 1986 film.

The franchise, which began 40 years ago, includes three sequels, a television series from the 1990s, and a 2007 reboot. Cavill, known for his roles in ‘Superman’ and ‘The Witcher’, will lead this new iteration of the series.
