A reboot of the ‘Highlander’ fantasy film franchise is in production, with Henry Cavill taking over the lead role of the immortal Scottish warrior Connor MacLeod. Recent reports indicate that Cavill has impressed his co-stars with his mastery of a Scottish accent. In an interview with Collider, Drew McIntyre stated that the actor has achieved a ‘perfect accent that will leave audiences speechless.’ While the production has encountered some delays, the film is currently expected to debut in 2027.
