Henry Zankov debuts Spring 2027 collection at New York Fashion Week

Designer Henry Zankov presented his Spring 2027 collection during New York Fashion Week, marking a significant milestone as he simultaneously manages his own label and serves as the first art director for Diane von Furstenberg (DVF).

Inspired by the song ‘Le Tourbillon’ by Jeanne Moreau, Zankov’s collection drew on 1960s aesthetics and the Russian Space Race. The lineup featured chrome patent leather accents, a departure from his signature knitwear, and collaborations with artist Phillipine de Richmont Tunstall, whose comic-book-style solar system prints were featured on knit pieces.

Zankov noted the creative distinctions between his brand and DVF. While both utilize bold colors and patterns, he described the Zankov woman as a customer who might shop at the new DVF but seeks a different aesthetic. His designs for the season included Mod-inspired silhouettes, such as Kelly green shift dresses and fluorescent yellow trousers with unique side panels.
