Heraklion police seize cocaine and sedatives, arrest three

Police in Heraklion conducted a narcotics operation resulting in the seizure of approximately 1.8 kilograms of cocaine, 3,550 sedative pills, and 736 injectable sedative preparations. Officers also confiscated 2,100 euros and three mobile phones.

Three individuals were arrested during the operation on Wednesday, August 12: a 35-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, both Greek nationals, and a 32-year-old foreign national. The arrests occurred after police observed the 35-year-old and the 22-year-old delivering a bag to the 32-year-old while riding a motorcycle.

Following a search of the 32-year-old's residence, authorities recovered the drugs and cash. Two motorcycles and one passenger car were also seized as vehicles believed to have facilitated the criminal activities. The suspects face charges related to drug law violations and regulations concerning amateur and professional sports.
