Media figures and Bosnian minister report death threats
In separate incidents across the region, political and media figures have reported receiving death threats.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adil Šuta, the Minister of Finance for the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, reported death threats to authorities. Šuta alleged the threats originated from individuals close to Assembly deputy Omer Hujdur. The dispute stems from political disagreements regarding a waste management plan for the Uborak landfill. Šuta accused Hujdur of using social media to spread lies and discredit his work to influence election results.
In Serbia, the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) reported new death threats against journalists Marko Vidojković and Nenad Kulačin, authors of the show ‘Dobar, loš, zao’. The threats were reportedly sent via Instagram. ANEM stated this is the third time these authors have been targeted with such messages, describing it as a coordinated attempt to intimidate media workers and their families.
