Hereford cattle auctions held in Argentina and Uruguay

Livestock auctions for Hereford cattle have recently taken place in Argentina and Uruguay, showcasing regional genetic quality and market activity.

In Olavarría, Argentina, Cabaña La Camila held its sixth annual Hereford auction. Managed by Madelán Servicios Rurales, the event attracted producers and buyers from across the country to purchase bulls, heifers, and elite females. The auction highlighted the importance of the Olavarría region as a primary livestock hub.

In Kiyú, Uruguay, the Sociedad de Criadores de Hereford celebrated the 50th anniversary of its Testing Center with a successful bull sale. The auction saw 100% of the offering sold, with 37 bulls reaching an average price of US$ 5,293. This represents a 13.4% increase in average price compared to the previous year. The event also included a tribute to Daniel Dutra for his long-standing involvement with the society's auctions.
