Heritage sites advance to Novas 7 Maravilhas national semi-finals

Several heritage sites from Portugal's Central Region have advanced to the national semi-finals of the ‘Novas 7 Maravilhas de Portugal’ competition. The results were announced during the regional final held in Curia, Anadia.

Among the qualifiers are the Convento de Cristo in Tomar, which won in the Religion category, and the Museu do Azeite in Bobadela, Oliveira do Hospital. Other sites advancing to represent the Central Region include the Jardim do Paço Episcopal in Castelo Branco, the Palace Hotel da Curia in Anadia, Centum Cellas in Belmonte, the Aqueduto da Usseira in Óbidos, and the Castelo de Leiria.

The national semi-final is scheduled to take place on September 5 at the Palácio de Sintra.
