Hermandad de la Fe Wins 2026 Colombinas Decoration Contest in Huelva

The Hermandad de la Fe brotherhood secured first place in the 2026 Concurso de Decoración de Casetas at the Fiestas Colombinas in Huelva, receiving a €1,000 prize. The Hermandad de las Tres Caídas took second place and was awarded €500. The competition, organized by the Ayuntamiento de Huelva’s Concejalía de Cultura y Patrimonio Arqueológico, recognized eleven participating casetas for their creativity and contribution to the festival’s visual appeal. The winning design combined the brotherhood’s sacramental symbols with motifs referencing the historic trans‑Atlantic flight of the Plus Ultra aircraft, a theme praised by the jury for its originality, craftsmanship, lighting, and attention to detail. The awards were presented by Huelva mayor Pilar Miranda, cultural councilor Nacho Molina, and Palos de la Frontera mayor Milagros Romero, with the prize money supplied by the Ayuntamiento de Palos de la Frontera. Jury members included Miguel Ángel Lagares, Montserrat Márquez, Manuel García Domínguez and Lorenzo Gento Atahona.
