Hermosillo hosts third Dogo Fest to celebrate local gastronomy

The third edition of Dogo Fest took place in the historic center of Hermosillo, celebrating the city's signature culinary identity. The event featured more than 30 food stalls and businesses specializing in the traditional Sonoran-style hot dog, known for its abundance of ingredients such as bacon, beans, tomato, and onion.

“Dogos El Compadre” was awarded the title of “Mejor Dogo de la H” (Best Dogo of the H). Other winners included “Dogos El Gama” in second place and “Eventos El Chava” in third. In the creativity category, “Dogos de La Antena” took first place, followed by “Dogos El Compadre” and “Ovni Dogos."

A notable highlight of the festival was the preparation of a 60-meter-long hot dog by students and faculty from the Universidad Durango Santander. The festival, held as part of the 362nd edition of Víactiva, included live music and family activities on Hidalgo Boulevard.
