Dogo Fest culinary celebration in Hermosillo

Overview

The third edition of Dogo Fest took place on September 6 in the Viactiva area of Hermosillo, celebrating the city’s hot dog tradition. The event featured more than 30 food stalls specializing in Sonoran-style hot dogs, which are characterized by ingredients such as bacon, beans, tomato, and onion.

In the culinary competitions, ‘Dogos El Compadre’ was awarded the title of ‘Mejor Dogo de la H’ (Best Dogo of the H), with ‘Dogos El Gama’ taking second place and ‘Eventos El Chava’ finishing third. In the creativity category, ‘Dogos de La Antena’ secured first place, followed by ‘Dogos El Compadre’ and ‘Ovni Dogos.’

A major highlight of the festival was the successful preparation of a 60-meter-long hot dog by students and faculty from Universidad Durango Santander. Held as part of the 362nd edition of Víactiva on Hidalgo Boulevard, the festival also included live music and various family activities.
