Hermès opens permanent luxury boutique in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Hermès has opened a permanent retail location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, marking the luxury brand’s 44th store in the United States. The new boutique at 130 Berry Street replaces a pop-up location that the company operated in the neighborhood for the past three years.

Designed by architects RDAI, the two-level space is intended to honor the industrial history of Williamsburg. The interior features raw brick, grey terrazzo, and metalwork, with a staircase designed to resemble New York City fire escapes. The first floor houses silk, fashion jewelry, perfume, beauty products, and footwear, while the second floor contains jewelry, watches, ready-to-wear clothing, equestrian collections, and leather goods.

Diane Mahady, president and CEO of Hermès Americas, stated that the company has long seen potential in Williamsburg and used the previous pop-up to build relationships with the local community and understand the neighborhood intimately.
