Hero MotoCorp launches India's first flex‑fuel motorcycles, Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe

Hero MotoCorp introduced India's first flex‑fuel two‑wheelers, unveiling flex‑fuel versions of its best‑selling Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe models. The bikes can run on ethanol‑blended fuels ranging from E20 to E85 and, according to the company, even on 100% ethanol. priced at ₹82,710 for the Splendor Plus and ₹72,792 for the HF Deluxe, deliveries are set to begin in July 2026, starting in selected areas of Delhi and Maharashtra.

Both models retain a 97.2 cc engine that produces about 8 hp and 8.3 Nm of torque on E85 fuel, and feature Hero's i3S idle‑stop‑start system, a digital‑analog instrument cluster, tube‑less tyres, side‑stand engine cut‑off and an upgraded ECU and fuel system to handle ethanol blends. The launch was officiated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who highlighted the initiative's potential to cut petroleum dependence and support greener mobility in India.
