Hero MotoCorp launches Vida VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh electric scooter in India

Hero MotoCorp’s electric brand VIDA introduced the VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh variant, the flagship of the VX2 line‑up, in India. The scooter is priced at ₹1,43,990 ex‑showroom in Delhi (after subsidies) and will be available nationwide from July 2026.

A dual‑removable‑battery pack (two 2.2 kWh lithium‑ion units) gives a claimed IDC‑certified range of 187 km on a single charge and a top speed of 90 km/h. Charging times are 3 h 30 min (0‑80 %) with the supplied 1 kW portable charger, 65 min with DC fast‑charging, and about 5 h for a full charge. The scooter offers three riding modes (Eco, Ride, Sport), a 4.3‑inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, OTA updates, and a CBS‑disc‑drum braking system.

The model set an Asia Book of Records entry after completing a 12,111 km cross‑country ride. Hero also promotes a Battery‑as‑a‑Service (BaaS) option and backs the launch with a network of over 6,000 fast‑charging stations and 700 service touchpoints across the country.
