Hero MotoCorp unveils classic redesign and 421cc adventure bike prototypes

Hero MotoCorp filed a design patent for a new entry‑level classic motorcycle that revives the Splendor Pro Classic. The patent images show a round LED headlamp, alloy wheels likely tubeless, a longer single‑piece seat that can carry a pillion, and a dual‑pod instrument cluster. The company may equip the model with a larger engine than the original sub‑100 cc unit, possibly a 125 cc powertrain, and it could be offered as a flex‑fuel model capable of running on E85.

Spy shots from the Ladakh region reveal a prototype dubbed the Xpulse 421 ADV, expected to be powered by a 421 cc single‑cylinder liquid‑cooled engine. The bike features a vertically stacked LED headlight, a tall smoked windshield, protective chassis elements such as a bash plate and knuckle guards, and a single‑piece seat. It was tested by Hero’s Dakar Rally team, including riders Ross Branch and Nacho Cornejo, and will compete with other adventure and off‑road motorcycles in the Indian market.
