HeroQuest: Digital Edition announced for PC release in 2027

HeroQuest: Digital Edition Nomad Games Balor Games tabletop adaptation dungeon crawler

Nomad Games and Balor Games have announced HeroQuest: Digital Edition, an officially licensed video game adaptation of the classic tabletop dungeon-crawling adventure. Unveiled during The MIX Fall Showcase, the game is scheduled to launch on Steam in 2027, with a closed beta playtest expected to follow soon.

The digital adaptation features tactical turn-based combat and supports solo play or online multiplayer for up to five players. In multiplayer mode, four players can control the hero classes—Barbarian, Dwarf, Elf, and Wizard—while a fifth player can take on the role of the sorcerer Zargon to challenge the fellowship.

Additional features include a Quest Editor for creating custom adventures and mod.io integration to allow players to explore community-made content.
