Hezbollah carries out 22 attacks on Israeli forces in southern Lebanon

Hezbollah announced that it conducted 22 separate military operations against Israeli army positions, convoys, and equipment in southern Lebanon over a 24‑hour period. The attacks involved rockets, loitering munitions, drone strikes, ambushes and direct firefights, targeting vehicles such as Yagai, Namira and Hamvi, as well as a military bulldozer and newly established Israeli sites. One operation shot down an Israeli Hermes‑450 drone with a surface‑to‑air missile.

Hezbollah said the operations were a response to what it described as Israeli violations of a recently brokered cease‑fire and continued attacks on civilians and villages in the south of Lebanon. The group framed the actions as defensive, invoking the “right of legitimate resistance” to protect Lebanese territory and people. The attacks were reported in towns including Majdal Zoon, Kfar Tebnit, Al‑Khayam, Maron Ras, Al‑Addaisah, and others. The escalations come after a series of U.S.‑mediated cease‑fire agreements between Lebanon and Israel in April, which were extended in late April.
