Hezbollah launches 22 drone and rocket attacks on Israeli forces in southern Lebanon

Hezbollah said it carried out 22 targeted strikes in a 24‑hour period against Israeli military positions in southern Lebanon, using swarms of unmanned aerial vehicles and successive rocket barrages. The group claimed the attacks were aimed at Israeli troop deployment sites and temporary assemblies, and that its anti‑air systems successfully intercepted Israeli drones.

In a separate statement, Hezbollah announced it had repelled an Israeli ground incursion near Kfar Tembin and Nabatigya hours after the United States and Iran disclosed an agreement to end hostilities in the region. The organization said its fighters fired rockets and unmanned aircraft at an Israeli force consisting of an excavator and two Merkava tanks, preventing the advance.

The incidents underline the fragility of the Israel‑Lebanon border despite diplomatic moves aimed at de‑escalation.
