Hezbollah launches multiple drone and missile attacks on Israeli forces in southern Lebanon

Between June 3 and June 5, 2026, Hezbollah reported a series of coordinated strikes against Israeli military assets in southern Lebanon. The group said its fighters shot down several Israeli Hermes‑450 drones, hit armored vehicles—including Merkava tanks—with guided rockets and missiles, and bombarded Israeli positions around villages such as Qantarah, Yehmar al‑Shqif, and the hills of the western sector.

The attacks were presented as retaliation for what Hezbollah described as an Israeli breach of the cease‑fire, including shelling of civilian homes and villages in the south. According to the statements, Israeli forces suffered the loss of multiple drones, damage to armored vehicles, and confirmed injuries among troops, though exact casualty figures were not disclosed.
