Häfele launches high‑tech logistics hub in Nagold, Germany
Häfele inaugurated a new logistics centre at its Nagold site on 17 July 2026. The 110‑metre bridge connects the new building to the existing shipping centre, allowing small‑ and large‑part orders to be combined in a single dispatch.
The facility hosts an automated shuttle warehouse with 96 000 storage locations, 132 shuttle vehicles, modern inbound and outbound areas and intelligent conveyor‑ and packaging technologies. A case‑calculation software automatically selects optimal carton sizes, cutting material use and shipment volume.
Sustainability was built in from the start: about 28 000 t of demolition waste were reused, recycling concrete was employed and a 2 m³ ice‑storage system was installed. The project, developed together with IO‑Consultants, underlines Häfele’s long‑term commitment to its German base and its broader future logistics strategy.
