Chiapas Governor Eduardo Ramírez survives helicopter emergency landing

The helicopter carrying Chiapas Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar underwent an emergency maneuver on August 28, 2026, while traveling to the municipality of Pantepec. The incident was caused by a combination of low visibility due to dense fog and an unexpected crossing of birds along the flight path.

The pilot performed a controlled emergency descent, landing the aircraft in a grassland area in the municipality of Ocozocoautla to ensure the safety of the passengers.
