Hidalgo advances industrial development through strategic investments
The state of Hidalgo is implementing strategic investment and connectivity projects to bolster its industrial and economic presence in central Mexico. A key component of this strategy is the Reserva Zapotlán industrial pole, a project part of the Polos de Desarrollo Económico para el Bienestar. The first phase of Reserva Zapotlán involves an estimated investment of 10,106 million pesos across 910.81 hectares, focusing on urbanization and the construction of industrial warehouses. Managed by DEWA Capital, the project aims to create approximately 5,100 jobs.
Regional development is further supported by major infrastructure initiatives, including the Mexico-Querétaro and Mexico-Pachuca train projects, as well as the Mezquital Valley Water Plan. Additionally, eight municipalities in Hidalgo have been integrated into the Valley of Mexico Metropolitan Zone, providing access to a massive consumer market of 22 million people. The state's strategic location, near the Arco Norte highway and the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), is expected to attract diverse sectors such as aerospace, automotive, and pharmaceutical industries.
