Hidalgo authorities seize 29,000 liters of illegal gasoline

Authorities in Zempoala, Hidalgo, seized 29,000 liters of gasoline following a mechanical failure involving a fuel tanker. The incident occurred on Boulevard Juárez when the support jack of one of the two semi-trailers collapsed due to the weight, causing the tanker to tilt against a wall and crack, resulting in a fuel spill.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers from the Hidalgo State Public Security Secretariat (SSPH) requested the driver's cargo manifests. The investigation revealed that the documents provided were fraudulent, and the driver was unable to prove the legal origin of the fuel.

Police detained the driver and seized a Kenworth tractor-trailer, one tank semi-trailer containing the gasoline, and a second empty semi-trailer. The individual, the vehicle, and the fuel were turned over to the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) for investigation.
