Hidalgo expands STEM education with new laboratories and technical programs

The government of Hidalgo has expanded its technological educational infrastructure through the inauguration of new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) laboratories and the introduction of new academic programs.

In Tizayuca, the Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos del Estado de Hidalgo (CECYTEH) launched a new STEM laboratory and expanded its curriculum to include specialized technical careers such as Railway Operations and Airport Operations. Notably, CECYTEH will be the first college in Mexico to contract services with NVIDIA to utilize specialized hardware for artificial intelligence. Additionally, 20.9 million pesos have been allocated to the Metropolitano del Valle de México campus for infrastructure improvements, including new classrooms and computer labs.

Simultaneously, new STEM laboratories were delivered to Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Hidalgo (Cobaeh) campuses in the municipalities of San Agustín Metzquititlán and Huazalingo. These facilities aim to provide students with practical access to robotics, programming, electronics, and scientific experimentation to reduce regional inequality and foster local talent.
