Educational modernization in Hidalgo

Educational institutions in Hidalgo are undergoing modernization through new infrastructure and specialized academic programs. The Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH) is updating its Garza Educational Model with a long-term vision for 2041, while the SNTE Section 15 union is working on generational renewal.

Technological advancement is being driven by the Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos del Estado de Hidalgo (CECYTEH), which has launched a STEM laboratory in Tizayuca and introduced technical programs in railway and airport operations. CECYTEH is also noted as the first college in Mexico to contract NVIDIA services for artificial intelligence hardware.

Further expansion of STEM facilities includes the delivery of new laboratories to Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Hidalgo (Cobaeh) campuses in San Agustín Metzquititlán and Huazalingo. Additionally, 20.9 million pesos have been allocated to the Metropolitano del Valle de México campus for classroom and computer lab improvements. On a student level, six teams from Hidalgo received prizes at the national ‘Somos el Cambio 2026’ awards for community projects.
