Hidalgo Governor commits to infrastructure reconstruction in Xochicoatlán

Hidalgo Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar has reaffirmed the state government's commitment to reconstructing communities affected by the monsoonal trough. During a visit to Xochicoatlán, Menchaca emphasized the importance of infrastructure projects to improve connectivity and support future generations.

In the last four years, more than 147 million pesos have been allocated to various works, including the reconstruction of the Molango-Xochicoatlán state highway and the opening of inter-municipal roads. Alejandro Sánchez García, Secretary of Public Infrastructure and Sustainable Urban Development, announced that the government will rehabilitate nine rural roads in 2026, connecting several localities including Acomulco, Molangotzi, and Acatepec.

Additionally, the State Water and Sewerage Commission (CEAA) is working on rehabilitating potable water lines in Texcaco, supported by an investment of over one million pesos.
