Hidalgo police arrest suspects in separate robbery incidents
Authorities in Hidalgo, Mexico, have conducted two separate operations resulting in the arrest of suspects involved in robberies.
In Pachuca, police intercepted a white Kia traveling toward Mexico City. The four occupants are suspected of robbing a woman at a business in Venta Prieta. During the intervention, officers reportedly recovered cell phones, cash, department store merchandise, and five bags containing a granular substance suspected to be an illicit drug. The suspects, reportedly from Mexico City, are believed to use a method of stealing belongings from customers to fund retail purchases.
In a separate incident, security forces in Zempoala arrested two men following a pursuit on the Mexico-Tuxpan federal highway. The suspects are accused of the violent theft of a red SUV in Singuilucan. After a high-speed chase initiated when the suspects ignored police orders to stop, the vehicle was intercepted in Santa Cruz.
