Crime and police operations in Mexico

Law enforcement operations in Mexico have resulted in several arrests related to robbery, homicide, and high-speed pursuits.

In Hidalgo, police conducted two separate operations. In Pachuca, four suspects from Mexico City were intercepted while traveling toward the capital; they are suspected of robbing a woman in Venta Prieta and were found in possession of cash, merchandise, and suspected illicit drugs. In Zempoala, authorities arrested two men following a high-speed chase on the Mexico-Tuxpan federal highway after the theft of an SUV in Singuilucan.

Subsequent operations expanded the scope of arrests. In Hidalgo, police executed warrants for two Venezuelan nationals, Jesús “N” and Alfredo “N”, regarding an armed robbery of a high-end watch in Querétaro that occurred in June 2026.

Recent law enforcement actions have expanded across several states. In Campeche, authorities detained a man in El Carmelo for allegedly attempting to enter properties and possessing suspected narcotics, while Jesús Daniel “N” was apprehended in Isla Aguada for suspected involvement in homicide and threats in Hopelchén. In San Luis Potosí, Rubi “N” and José “N” were detained for their alleged roles in a double homicide in Zaragoza.

In Puebla, José Luis N. was arrested in San Martín Texmelucan regarding the suspected disappearance of a woman, and two men were detained in Los Reyes de Juárez and Tepeaca for the illegal possession of over 19,000 liters of fuel. Other recent detentions include a taxi driver in Xalapa for alleged sexual abuse and theft, and a man in Tijuana arrested following a high-speed chase involving a firearm.
