Mauricio Kuri undergoes public polygraph test in Querétaro

Querétaro Governor Mauricio Kuri González has undergone a voluntary public polygraph test as part of a proposal to increase transparency and establish stricter filters for political candidates ahead of the 2027 elections. The evaluation was conducted by the independent firm Centela-Sapiens using the Cogito system, an automated platform that utilizes six psychophysiological sensors—including facial thermal imaging and voice analysis—to assess dimensions such as corruption, links to organized crime, and national sovereignty.

Separately, the Querétaro State Congress is preparing to formally receive the Governor’s government report. Secretary of Government Eric Gudiño Torres will deliver the document, after which legislative factions will present their positions. Lawmakers plan to hold follow-up discussions with various state secretaries and agency heads after the national holidays to debate the report’s contents and the allocation of public funds.
