Hidroven repairs 234 water infrastructure failures in La Guaira
Hidroven has repaired 234 water infrastructure failures in La Guaira following the earthquakes recorded on June 24. The state company is currently working to resolve an additional 64 reported issues as part of a recovery plan to restore capture, conduction, and distribution systems.
According to Hidroven President Jhonn Alonzo, the seismic activity caused near-total damage to the state's water system. To mitigate the impact, 105 cisterns have been deployed, distributing 130 million liters of water to communities lacking piped access. Current supply includes 1,535 liters per second from various systems, including the Maya-Picure adduction and the Tuy system from Miranda state.
