High Commission of India leads beach cleanup in Ghana

The High Commission of India in Ghana organized a large-scale cleanup drive at Ananse Beach in Nungua. Supported by hundreds of volunteers, including members of the Indian community and partner entities, the initiative successfully removed tonnes of waste from the shoreline to promote environmental protection.

The cleanup effort was part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign, an Indian government initiative aimed at inspiring citizen ownership for a cleaner and greener future.

In addition to the environmental drive, High Commissioner S. Bhagat has been engaged in diplomatic discussions to strengthen bilateral ties. Recent meetings included discussions with Kwamena Minta Nyaku and Alexander Akwasi Acquah of the Ghana India Parliamentary Friendship Association regarding parliamentary cooperation. Furthermore, discussions were held with the Ghana Scouts Association to explore cooperation in youth empowerment, leadership development, and cultural exchange.
