Highland Europe secures £55m British Business Bank investment for €1.1bn Fund VI
The British Business Bank has committed £55.6 million to Highland Europe’s Technology Growth Fund VI, a €1.1 billion growth‑stage technology fund. The fund targets software, AI, cybersecurity, fintech, data and consumer‑technology companies from Series B through to pre‑IPO stages.
Highland Europe, founded in 2012 and based in London with a presence in Geneva, has raised €3.75 billion across six funds, backing more than 80 scale‑ups and supporting 30 exits, including Nexthink, Huel and Bending Spoons. The latest fund closed at €1.1 billion, with the British Business Bank’s investment reinforcing the firm’s strategy to bridge Europe’s late‑stage funding gap. Senior figures quoted include Christine Hockley of the British Business Bank and Sam Brooks of Highland Europe.
