Hikvision secures first EUCC certification for network cameras

Hikvision announced that its DeepinView iDS-2CD7x series of network cameras obtained the European Union Cybersecurity Certification (EUCC), marking the first CCTV product worldwide to achieve this credential. The certification was issued by TrustCB B.V., a Dutch certification body authorized by the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure, after testing by Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity Europe. The cameras meet the EUCC “Substantial” assurance level, aligned with Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 3 plus additional flaw‑remediation requirements. The achievement aligns with EU initiatives such as the Cyber Resilience Act and the NIS2 Directive, and showcases Hikvision’s security‑by‑design approach covering identity authentication, access control, secure communications, auditing and vulnerability management. The certification establishes a new benchmark for product cybersecurity in sectors like government, critical infrastructure, energy and transport.
