Hikvision network cameras earn EUCC certification

Overview

In early July 2026 Hikvision announced that its DeepinView iDS-2CD7x series of network cameras received the European Union Cybersecurity Certification (EUCC), becoming the first CCTV product worldwide to achieve this status. The certification, granted by the Dutch‑based TrustCB B.V. and based on testing by Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity Europe, confirmed that the cameras meet the EUCC “Substantial” assurance level (equivalent to Common Criteria EAL 3 with additional flaw‑remediation requirements). It highlighted security‑by‑design features such as identity authentication, access control, encrypted communications, auditing and vulnerability management, positioning the devices as a benchmark for high‑security sectors including public administration, critical infrastructure, energy and transport.

A follow‑up announcement on 30 July 2026 confirmed that the DeepinView cameras were the first video‑surveillance devices to be granted EUCC certification under the European Common Criteria framework. The certification validates strict requirements for authentication, access control, secure communications and vulnerability management, facilitating deployment in critical infrastructure and compliance with European security regulations.
