Hillary Clinton criticizes Trump White House decor

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has criticized the interior design and renovations of the White House under President Donald Trump. Speaking on the Pivot podcast, Clinton compared the current decor to the palaces of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, describing the use of gold embellishments in the Oval Office as “insane” and “tacky.”

Clinton suggested that a future administration might need to address various beautification projects and monuments, stating she is “making a list” of items to be removed or altered, including gold decorations and certain proposed structures. She specifically noted concerns regarding the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and a proposed triumphal arch.

White House spokesman Davis Ingle responded to the remarks by noting that Clinton did not have the opportunity to decorate the Oval Office due to her defeat in the 2016 election.
