Hillegom launches inaugural Dahliacorso during Kortebaandraverij

Hillegom, in the Dutch Bollenstreek region, will host its first Dahliacorso on Friday 11 September as a side event of the annual Kortebaandraverij. The parade is organised by the Harddraverijvereniging Hillegom and the foundation Dahliamozaieken Bollenstreek. Up to 50 participants are invited to decorate a scooter, bike, skiff or similar vehicle with dahlia flowers provided by the organizers. Children receive free tickets to a fair attraction, and prizes are awarded for the most original, beautiful or creative decorations.

The event aims to become a recurring regional attraction, encouraging clubs, companies and families to join and showcase their designs to the thousands of visitors attending the flower festival.

All participants must adhere to safety guidelines, and volunteers will be on hand to assist, especially for younger entrants.
