Himachal Pradesh CM announces relief package and infrastructure projects

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced a comprehensive relief and development package for state employees, pensioners, and various sectors. During Independence Day celebrations, the Chief Minister announced revised pay scales for National Health Mission employees with seven years of service and salary increases for outsourced staff nurses, paramedical personnel, and data entry operators.

Financial relief includes a 20 per cent arrears payment for Class IV employees and a 35 per cent arrears payout for pensioners. Additionally, a new health insurance policy will provide coverage of Rs 10 lakh to poor families. To boost employment, the state plans to fill thousands of vacancies, including appointing watchmen for nearly 2,000 government schools.

In Hamirpur, the Chief Minister inaugurated several infrastructure and educational projects. These include the launch of 35 electric buses as part of a green initiative, a new science college estimated at Rs 100 crore, and various agricultural and educational facilities such as a state-of-the-art SRT Lab and a CBT Lab at Hamirpur Degree College. The development package also features new irrigation schemes to benefit hundreds of farming families.
