Overview

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced a comprehensive relief and development package for Himachal Pradesh. During Independence Day celebrations, the initiative detailed revised pay scales for National Health Mission employees with seven years of service, alongside salary increases for outsourced staff nurses, paramedical personnel, and data entry operators.

Financial measures include a 20 per cent arrears payment for Class IV employees and a 35 per cent arrears payout for pensioners. A new health insurance policy will provide Rs 10 lakh in coverage to poor families. To address employment, the state intends to fill thousands of vacancies, including appointing watchmen for approximately 2,000 government schools.

Infrastructure and educational advancements have been expanded through various regional projects. New irrigation schemes were also introduced to benefit farming families.

Furthering regional connectivity and utility, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 27 crore for development projects in the Chopal Assembly constituency of the Shimla district.
