Rawalpindi murder probe: Autopsy reveals injuries in Hina Javed case

The investigation into the murder of 45-year-old Hina Javed in Rawalpindi’s Lal Kurti area has progressed following a detailed autopsy and conflicting confessions. The victim’s body was discovered in a bathroom, tied to a shower with her hands bound and her mouth gagged.

An autopsy report conducted by Dr. Marya Khalid revealed multiple injuries, including a ruptured hyoid bone, bruises on the limbs, and marks on the ribs and hip. Blood was also found around the heart. While the exact cause of death is pending forensic laboratory results from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency, investigators have ruled out suicide.

Police have arrested the victim’s husband, Faisal Asghar Imam, and a domestic worker, Zeeshan Arshad. Zeeshan provided multiple accounts of the incident, eventually claiming that he and Faisal worked together to strangle Hina during a quarrel. Investigators noted that the physical state of the body suggested assistance was required to position it.

Faisal’s father, Asghar Ali Fayyaz, is also under investigation after initially reporting the incident as a robbery. A murder case has been registered at the Civil Lines Police Station, and the suspects remain in police custody.
