BolognaFiere acquires 49.9% stake in Gambero Rosso Holding
BolognaFiere has finalized an industrial partnership with Class Editori regarding the Gambero Rosso brand. To facilitate this, Gambero Rosso Holding was established, in which Class Editori contributed 51.17% of the social capital through 7,394,050 ordinary shares. BolognaFiere acquired a 49.9% stake in the holding company from Class Editori for a total price of 5.693 million euros, funded entirely through its own resources.
Class Editori maintains control of Gambero Rosso through its 50.1% stake in the holding and a direct 10% participation. Gianpiero Calzolari, president of BolognaFiere, described the move as a strategic investment to strengthen the international presence of Italian food and wine excellence. Paolo Panerai, Vice President and CEO of Class Editori, noted that the partnership will leverage BolognaFiere’s international experience to bolster Gambero Rosso’s position in the Wine-Travel-Food sector.
In its first half of 2026, BolognaFiere reported consolidated revenues of 200.8 million euros, a 4% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This growth was driven by the Allestimenti & Architecture sector, which saw revenues rise by 14.6% to 76.8 million euros. Despite a less favorable exhibition calendar compared to the previous year, the group achieved a net profit of 19.3 million euros.
