Hisense and BenQ launch new high-end laser projectors

New high-end laser projectors from Hisense and BenQ are targeting the home cinema market with advanced color accuracy and flexible installation options.

Hisense has introduced the PX4 PRO, an ultra-short-throw laser projector capable of producing images from 80 to 200 inches. Utilizing TriChroma laser technology and the LPU Digital Laser Engine 3.0, it delivers 3,500 ANSI lumens and covers 118 percent of the BT.2020 color space. The device supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and IMAX Enhanced, and includes features for gaming such as a 1ms input lag and 240Hz refresh rate at 2K resolution.

BenQ has released the W5850, a 4K DLP laser projector designed for smaller spaces. It features a medium short-throw lens that can project a 120-inch screen from less than nine feet away, with a maximum screen size of 200 inches. The projector offers 2,600 lumens of peak output, DCI-P3 color accuracy, and motorized lens controls for zoom, focus, and shift. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and 3D formats.
