Historical Turkish landmarks reopen following restoration

Historical landmarks in Turkey have recently reopened to the public following extensive restoration efforts. In Kahramanmaraş, the Kahramanmaraş Castle hosted an open-air cinema event organized by the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality. The program featured the classic film ‘Tosun Paşa’, allowing residents to experience the restored castle in a nostalgic setting.

In Istanbul, the Muammer Karaca Theatre has reopened after being closed for 14 years. Following a restoration project led by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and İBB Miras, the historic venue held an opening ceremony on September 25. The theatre, which has hosted legendary figures of Turkish theatre since the 1950s, will now serve as a space for independent theatre, exhibitions, and various art events.
