Hitler Mussolini Simeon Flores elected mayor of Queropalca, Peru

Hitler Mussolini Simeon Flores, a 45-year-old businessman from the transport sector, has been elected mayor of Queropalca, a remote Andean district in the Huánuco region of Peru. Running under the center-left party Ahora Nación, Flores secured 229 votes, representing approximately 34.5 percent of the total 663 valid votes cast in the October 4 election. He narrowly defeated his main rival, Gaspar Benilde Osorio Zambrano, who received 204 votes.

Despite his namesakes, there are no indications that Flores adheres to the ideologies of Adolf Hitler or Benito Mussolini. He is scheduled to take office on January 1, 2027. This occurrence is not unprecedented in the region; previous Peruvian politicians with the name Hitler have held office, including Hitler Alba Sánchez, who served as mayor of the Yungar district.
