HMD Global prepares international launch of HMD Touch AI feature phone

HMD Global is reportedly preparing to expand the availability of the HMD Touch AI, a compact feature phone inspired by the Nokia Lumia design, to international markets following its debut in China.

Targeted at the growing "digital detox" demographic, the device features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a 1,950mAh battery with USB Type-C charging, dual-SIM 4G support, and Wi-Fi connectivity. While the Chinese version utilizes ByteDance’s Doubao AI, the international model is expected to offer free access to "Taobao AI," along with integrated Alipay support and a built-in QR code reader.

Initial international rollout is expected to include Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. Retail bundles may include accessories such as an 8GB microSD card, a protective case, and a screen protector. The device is expected to be available in several colors, including Cyan, Dark Blue, White, and Gold.
