HMD Global mobile device expansion

HMD Global is expanding its mobile device lineup with several new models targeting different market segments. The company is preparing an international rollout of the HMD Touch AI, a compact feature phone designed for the “digital detox” demographic. Following its debut in China, the device is expected to launch in Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, featuring integrated AI capabilities and Alipay support.

Leaked specifications for upcoming models provide further detail on the HMD 102 4G Pro and the HMD 2760 Flip 4G. The 102 4G Pro is an upgraded entry-level feature phone featuring a 30-megapixel camera, dual-SIM support with 4G LTE, 24 MB of RAM, 48 MB of storage, and a 1,200 mAh battery. It is intended for markets transitioning from 2G and 3G networks.

The HMD 2760 Flip 4G is positioned as a more advanced clamshell device. Unlike previous models using KaiOS, this device is rumored to run Icon OS 13, based on Android 13 Go, which would grant access to the Google Play Store. Technical leaks indicate it will feature a 2.8-inch main display, a 1.77-inch outer display, a Unisoc T310 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a 5 MP camera, a 2,500 mAh battery, and USB-C connectivity.
