HMD launches AI-integrated flip phone for seniors in the UK

HMD has released the 2660 Flip Senior Edition in the United Kingdom, a 4G device specifically designed to meet the communication needs of older users. The flip phone features a physical keypad, a 2.8-inch internal display, and a 1.77-inch external display.

A central feature of the device is Mary, an integrated AI companion. Mary is engineered to use simplified language, maintain a measured speaking pace, and accommodate longer conversational pauses. The assistant is also capable of remembering details from previous interactions.

The device is powered by a Unisoc T107 processor with 64MB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage, running on the S30+ operating system. Hardware specifications include a 0.3MP rear camera, a 1450 mAh removable battery, USB-C charging, Bluetooth 5.0, and an IP54 rating.

The 2660 Flip Senior Edition is priced at £79.99. While the initial purchase includes five hours of use with the Mary AI assistant, continued access requires a non-automatic monthly subscription of £16.90.
