Hưng Yên police fine three teenage girls and their father after unsafe motorbike ride causes crash

On the night of June 3, three teenage girls aged 15, 17 and 19 rode a motorbike owned by their father on Nguyen Van Linh road in Hưng Yên province without helmets. The rider, a 15‑year‑old, weaved and performed multiple wheel‑spins, losing control and crashing into the road median at a signalized intersection, resulting in injuries to all three passengers.

The Hưng Yên provincial traffic police, together with local police, investigated the incident. They issued traffic violation reports to the rider for riding without a helmet, driving against traffic signs, reckless weaving, and carrying two passengers while under the legal age limit. The father was cited for allowing an under‑age person to operate the vehicle. The two other girls received citations for not wearing helmets. The motorbike was temporarily seized by police.
